As against the recent report of suspending all money transfer to Nigeria, Western union has debunked claim. Business Remarks can authoritatively reports.
According to the American worldwide financial services and communications company, Western Union® money transfers to Nigeria continue to be available at all Western Union Agents.
However, the company told Business Remarks in a chat that only the Western Union agent in US, HEB has suspended foreign remittance to Nigeria.
“Contrary to some publicly reported information, US Bank is active and transacting to Nigeria – with exception of only the HEB network in Texas”, the bank revealed.
Explaining further to Business Remarks, it noted that “Western Union’s Agent, HEB, made the decision to suspend transactions to Nigeria from its locations.
“We are currently working with HEB to determine how we can support the re-instatement of transactions to Nigeria”.

Recall that, our correspondent during the weekend had reported that over the arrest of Nigerians involvement in $6 million internet scammers in US, Western Union and Moneygram were alleged to have suspended remittance from Texas.
It was alleged by the USA federal government that Nigerians were involved in illegal activities that led to the fraudulent transfer of at least $6 million with an overall conspiracy involving an attempted theft of at least an additional $40 million.

Having confirmed that, Nigerians in the diaspora can transact business with Western Union Agents in US with the exception of HEB network in Texas, the US Bank assured its customers on making continuous efforts to help protect our valued customers from certain risks, for example, from being defrauded.
“Compliance is integral to the way in which Western Union does business. We make every effort to help protect our valued customers from certain risks, for example, from being defrauded.
“Western Union has many resources to actively educate its consumers on how to protect themselves from fraud”, the US Bank disclosed to Business Remarks.
