The UNESCO Laureate, Professor Emeritus (On Merit), Sir Bashiru Aremu is set to speak at the 2020 Kano Youth summit and inauguration of the Third Republic.
The event which is billed to hold on the 22nd February, 2020 at the Ni’imah Guest Palace in Kano State is organised by the Youth Association of Nigeria (YAN) as part of its efforts to mentor Nigerian Youths toward, self-discovery, self- reliance and self- Independence for sustainable growth and development in line with the Global standard.
Prof. Aremu who also doubles as the Vice Chancellor, Crown University and and Vice President, West Coast University, USA has been honoured to be the Chairman of YAN’s 2020 Youth Summit.
Speaking on this in a Press Statement signed by by his Senior Special Assistant, On Media and Publicity, Sir Bieni Victor Emenike, the UNESCO Laureate condemned the social vices that had eaten deep into the fabrics of the society, then enjoined Nigerian Youths to use their talents towards Nation building or sustainable development goals.
Professor Sir Bashiru Aremu then commended YAN Leadership in Kano State for given him the opportunity to serve the Youths not only in Kano State, Nigeria but a global honor towards the fulfilment of United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

He then urged Nigerian Government to mentor the Youths so as to take up the mantle of Leadership as the current political structure in the country is not in their favour.

Engr. Dr.Rabiu Suleiman Bichi, Former SSG, Kano State; Former SSA to the President on National Assembly Matters, Hon Abduirahaman Kawu Sumaila (OFR); Hon. Commissioner for Works and infrastructures, Kano State, Engr. Musa Ahmad Magaji, MNSE, SPE are also going to grace the event.
