Nigeria @59: Glo urges Nigerians to harness available resources, despite challenges

To celebrate with Nigeria on its 59th independence Anniversary, the National telecommunications company, Globacom has urged Nigerians to look beyond challenges and harness the available resources for the growth of the Nation.

The telco described the occasion as another opportunity for Nigerians to come together and re-dedicate themselves to building one united nation.

According to Globacom, in a statement in Lagos on Monday, the nation deserves to celebrate as it marks another year of its existence as an independent state and a prelude to its Diamond Anniversary next year.

The company said that despite our present challenges, Nigerians should be cheerful, adding that the present problems should strengthen our resolve to march on until we get to our desired destination.

“59 years ago, our nation heeded the call of freedom, and we continue to move forward in unity and progress”, Globacom said, adding, “we felicitate with the government and people of Nigeria on the nation’s Independence celebration.

“We believe that a major reason for joy is the resilience of Nigerians to weather the storm and remain one united country notwithstanding continual threats to its cohesion”.

While advising all to look beyond current developmental and economic challenges, Globacom called on the country to make utmost use of its rich human and natural endowments.

It added that progress made in different spheres over the years is an indication of the collective resolve of Nigerians to surmount any challenges facing the nation.

Also, the company restated its commitment to providing world-class products and services and to the empowerment of  Nigerians at all times.
