Internet Society Nigeria Chapter Seeks Regional Leaders, Open Applications for Coordinators

The Internet Society Nigeria Chapter (ISOC Nigeria) is calling for applications from qualified individuals to serve as Regional Coordinators across the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria.

These Regional Coordinators will play a crucial role in advancing the Chapter’s mission to promote an open, secure, and trusted internet for all Nigerians, the Secretary General for the Executive Council, ISOC Nigeria, Nkoro, Nkoro E made this disclosure in a signed document seen by Business Remarks.

Successful candidates will be responsible for a range of activities within their assigned regions. They will take the lead in coordinating Chapter initiatives, overseeing membership growth, and fostering strong communication and collaboration among members. Additionally, they will be tasked with organizing and facilitating regional meetings and webinars to spread awareness about the Chapter’s goals and the importance of a healthy internet ecosystem.

ISOC Nigeria is seeking individuals with a proven track record of administrative and organizational skills. Prior experience in project management is a plus, as these Regional Coordinators will be instrumental in leading various initiatives within their regions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential, as the role requires building strong relationships with members and stakeholders. Maintaining accurate records and meeting deadlines are additional key qualities. Most importantly, a genuine commitment to the values and goals of the Internet Society, such as an open and accessible internet for everyone, is a non-negotiable.

To ensure a strong connection to the communities they serve, applicants must reside within the region they are applying for. This role comes with a significant commitment to working on the ground and engaging with local members.
