ATCON Postpones National Dialogue on Telecoms, ICT

Following the outbreak of coronavirus in Nigeria, the Association of Telecommunication Companies of Nigeria (ATCON) has announced the postponement of its event.

The event was initially slated to hold on March 26, 2020, the National Dialogue on Telecommunications and ICT Sector in Nigeria, has been postponed.

In a letter sent to stakeholders today at the end of the National Executive Council (NEC) emergency meeting, President of ATCON, Olusola Teniola, said that a new date will be announced one month ahead of the event.

“We write to inform you that due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) health concerns, the National Executive Council of ATCON has postponed the upcoming National Dialogue on Telecoms and ICT Sector in Nigeria slated for Thursday, March 26, 2020 at NAF Conference Centre and Suites, Abuja till further notice.

“The decision to move it to another date was taken in order to reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection for everyone.

“The new date shall be communicated one month ahead of the event.

“We regret any inconveniences this might have caused”, the statement concludes.
